The Science Ambassador Scholarship is a full–tuition scholarship for women and non-binary students in STEM.
Eligibility:
You must be a high school senior or an undergraduate student.
You must attend a school in the United States.
HOW TO APPLY:
Film a three–minute educational video of yourself explaining a STEM topic you're passionate about. You must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student to apply. To view videos we've liked in the past, check out our previous winners. Your video should be:
A mini–lecture, not a personal statement. Pretend you're a lecturer speaking to a class. Teach us something.
Clear, creative, accurate, and a demonstration of your passion for the subject. We value novel, memorable approaches to topics. Your video doesn't need to be fancy or high–tech. Production value is not a factor.
Three minutes or less in length. Videos longer than this will not be considered. No exceptions!
About any STEM topic, not necessarily your field of study. Pick a topic that excites and fascinates you. We don't need to hear about the latest thing in science news (unless that's your jam).
Scientifically accurate. We encourage you to cite the sources used to research your topic. Ideally, this would be in a slide or frame at the end of your video. You can use any citation format you'd like.
Uploaded to YouTube and marked ‘public.’ No exceptions!
An advisory board of women and non-binary professionals who hold higher degrees and work in a broad range of STEM fields will review applications and select finalists. Finalists will be notified in early 2024 to submit additional materials. A winner will be announced in April 2024.

Learning to fly is a demanding endeavor, with long hours of ground school study and many hours in the air. This is not a program for those who seek a “weekend adventure” experience, but a program for people who are willing to work hard and remain committed to earning the privilege of becoming a pilot. It’s not easy, in fact, it is demanding and challenging, and that’s by design. We want our pilots to be safe and competent, so training goes well beyond the minimum standards required by the FAA.
Candidates for all scholarships will complete the appropriate application form, including an essay on how they feel the scholarship would change their life. Following an initial review, finalists for Full, Return to Flight or Career Training Scholarships will appear for a in-person interview to be conducted either remotely or near their home. The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that recipients may use for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2025 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major.
Academic excellence is the primary criterion considered by the Coolidge Scholarship. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed. Successful candidates will also demonstrate humility and have a record of genuine service to their communities. A complete description of the scholarship’s criteria is available here.
The competition for the Coolidge Scholarship is significant -- only a few new Coolidge Scholarships are awarded each year from a pool of candidates that spans the entire country. Even so, students have reported to us in past years they were glad to have applied even if they didn’t win because the experience helped prepare them for college applications later on. Furthermore, the Coolidge Foundation invites one hundred of the top Coolidge Scholarship applicants to participate in the Coolidge Senators Program, which includes an all-expenses-paid summit gathering and a $1,000 scholarship. Scholarship applicants are automatically considered for the Senators Program.
Please know that the application requires that candidates read President Coolidge’s Autobiography and a few other reading assignments, and then write three essays. We therefore encourage students to begin the application early. Candidates who begin the application at the last minute are unlikely to be successful. The submission deadline is 5:00 PM Pacific time, Thursday, January 18, 2024.

However, medication is only the first step. The support of people and programs in the community is essential. Opening the door to educational opportunities is one way to help people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder transition from a world of chaos and withdrawal to one of accomplishment.
The goal of the Baer Reintegration Scholarship is to help people with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder or bipolar disorder acquire the educational and vocational skills necessary to reintegrate into society, secure jobs, and regain their lives.
The Baer Reintegration Scholarship is funded by the Sidney R. This scholarship seeks to support students with a diagnosis of developmental or intellectual disabilities so they can pursue higher education.

Sttark is excited to award a $4,000 scholarship to a U.S. high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is willing to open up and unbox their life in a creative 5-minute video. Packaging is enticing–it creates an impression on the customer–but it’s the contents of a box that keep people coming back. We know there’s much more to you than meets the eye, and your presentation is just a reflection of who you are. If you were a carton or box, what would your packaging say? How would you brand yourself? And, most importantly, what story would your box contain? Show us the contents of your life that make you who you truly are.
Video Prompt:
"This Is Who I Am: Unboxing My Life"
On the shelf, the folding carton or box is what first grabs attention, but the unboxing reveals a lot more about the product. The same is true with people. Packaging can promote personality, but contents reveal character and tell a story.
You’re welcome to use the following questions to help spark your creativity, but you are not required to answer them:
Our "packaging" encases us, but our experiences shape us. The more we see about a person, the more we understand them and their values. Have your experiences ever changed the way you present yourself? In what way and why has it changed?
Some people prefer to leave valuable products in their packaging, unopened or barely used, out of fear that they may be lost or damaged. Sometimes people find it more comfortable to stay "boxed in."
Can you relate? Is there a significant moment in life when you opened up? Why did you choose to open up, and what did you discover about yourself or the world when you decided not to let yourself stay boxed in?
Steve Jobs said, "Packaging can be theatre; it can create a story." What does our personal packaging communicate, and is this message important? Can this presentation ever be misleading?
No one wants to be criticized and put in a box. Have you ever been mislabeled? Were you able to change someone’s initial perception of you? Has someone ever told you they misjudged you? What was this experience like? And why do you think people are sometimes too quick to put others in a box?
Eligibility & Requirements:
This application is open to all high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. Due to complexities with international funding, we will only consider submissions from U.S. citizens.
You will need to provide proof of college acceptance or a current transcript for high school students. Undergraduate and graduate students will need to provide proof of attendance from their college or university at the time of submission.
We’d love to know your future goals and why you deserve this scholarship, so we’re asking you to submit a brief biography of no more than 250 words with your application. In this bio, please specify your intended field of study and your current grade or degree level.
We will not assess this bio in our submission evaluation, but it will help us better understand your vision.
We will not consider your submission if it does not include:
A short bio with your intended field of study and education level
Proof of education
Evidence of U.S. citizenship (valid address)
A 5-minute unboxing video (no shorter than 4 minutes and no longer than 6)

This year, AFSA celebrates the 100th anniversary of the United States Foreign Service. Over the last century, our diplomats and development professionals have been involved in groundbreaking events in history – decisions on war and peace, supporting human rights and freedom, creating joint prosperity, reacting to natural disasters and pandemics and much more. As AFSA looks back on this century-long history, we invite you to join us in also looking ahead to the future. This year students are asked to explore how diplomats can continue to evolve their craft to meet the needs of an ever-changing world that brings fresh challenges and opportunities to the global community and America’s place in it.
Over the past 100 years the Foreign Service has faced a multitude of challenges such as world war, terrorism, nuclear proliferation, humanitarian disasters, global pandemics, and economic crises.
In a 1,000-1,500-word essay please identify what you believe will be the biggest challenge to face the Foreign Service in the future. The essay will describe this challenge and clearly define how American diplomats can help mitigate it.
